BETT 2024 review

In recent weeks we’ve been posting a fair amount about BETT which took place between 24th and 26th January at ExCel London.

This year over 40,000 visitors from more than 140 countries attended the event. The overall exhibition space seemed smaller than last year and was split over two halls.

There were more MIS providers exhibiting this year, and they were all located in the South Hall:

  • Arbor
  • ESS – SIMS
  • Bromcom
  • Compass
  • Satchel
  • PowerSchool
  • d6
  • IRIS – Ed:gen

We had conversations with companies who have exciting ambitions in the UK including PowerSchool from USA and d6 from South Africa. We’ve also been speaking with Veracross who recently acquired FireFly and have their own MIS with a couple of schools already in the UK.

On Thursday we took our videographer with us and arranged interviews with many MIS leaders. We’ll be publishing these video interviews over the coming weeks so watch out for:

  • Satchel – Louise Raw (Head of UK Business)
  • ESS SIMS – Phil Roberts (Chief Commercial Officer)
  • Bromcom – Chris Kirk (COO) and Fergal Moane (Head of Strategic Partnerships)

WhichMIS? recently launched a new service for Schools and MATs – please let us know if you’d like more information or to book a no obligation call to discuss MIS procurement.

We hosted many meetings with a number of individual schools, MATs and Local Authorities who expressed interest in finding out more information and thanked us for our excellent advice.

Next year BETT will take place from 22nd to 24th January 2025 at the same venue and I’m sure we’ll start our planning shortly!
