Dumfries and Galloway College selects UNIT-e from ParentPay Group as its MIS in five-year digital transformation partnership
17 September 2026 — Dumfries and Galloway College has selected UNIT-e as its Management Information System under a five-year contract, marking a significant step in the college’s ongoing digital transformation.
The partnership will support the college as it moves from multiple disparate systems to a more connected approach, designed to improve efficiency, strengthen data quality and create a single source of truth across the student journey.
By consolidating systems and improving access to reliable, real-time information via UNIT-e, Dumfries and Galloway College will be better equipped to extract the business intelligence needed to identify opportunities, measure impact and make evidence-based decisions that benefit students, staff and the wider college community.
Douglas Dickson, Principal and Chief Executive of Dumfries and Galloway College, said: “Every digital transformation project should have one goal: delivering better outcomes for learners. UNIT-e, part of ParentPay Group, is already widely used across Scotland’s further education sector. The student records platform now serves 11 of Scotland’s 19 further education colleges and supports more than 129,000 students.
That footprint is underpinned by long-standing collaboration with Scottish institutions. West Lothian College specified and, working with ParentPay, delivered a single joined-up online application and enrolment process on UNIT-e, achieving a 97.52% online enrolment rate for full-time cohorts in 2022/23. The college also builds its own business intelligence reporting in Power BI on top of the UNIT-e data model. South Lanarkshire College, which went live with UNIT-e one year ago, has said that the technology has improved the accuracy of data and massively improved efficiency in college processes
